Cabinet Approves Amendments to Facilitate State Aid to Social Care Providers

The Cabinet approved amendments to the Minor State Aid Scheme of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare, aiming to facilitate state aid to social care providers. These amendments concern three key regulations. The first change concerns the amendment of Article 12, which allows for an advance payment of state aid amounting to 30% of the amount received the previous year for operating expenses, subject to certain conditions. This is done to facilitate the liquidity of the organizations. The second amendment concerns priorities (Article 4) and includes the operation of programs for the daytime care of infants aged 0-2 years, i.e., nurseries. The third change concerns article 16.2.10 and tenders for the purchase of equipment/furniture, reducing the number of required tenders depending on the amount of expenditure. These amendments are a response to requests from social care providers and aim to improve the efficiency and speed of procedures for providing state aid.
