Half of Kyiv Without Heating, Mayor Calls for Evacuation

Russian strikes have left at least half of Kyiv without heating, prompting the mayor, Vitali Klitschko, to call for a “temporary” evacuation of the Ukrainian capital. According to the private energy provider DTEK, 417,000 households are affected. President Zelenskyy criticized local authorities, urging them to solve the problems and utilize available resources. Despite the evacuation call, no mass exodus of citizens from Kyiv has been observed, while teams are working in low temperatures (-7°C to -12°C) to restore heating.
