Kremlin Rejects Findings of Investigation into Navalny's Death

The Kremlin has categorically rejected the findings of an international investigation accusing the Russian state of the murder of Alexei Navalny with the poison atracurium. The investigation, conducted by five European countries, concluded that Navalny was poisoned in the Arctic penal colony where he was serving a sentence. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the accusations as “biased and unfounded.” Navalny's mother called for justice for her son, while his widow, Yulia Navalnaya, said his murder had been scientifically proven. Navalny's organizations have been banned in Russia and any show of support is prosecuted. The investigation revealed the use of a rare toxin found in the skin of poisonous Ecuadorian frogs.
