Ukraine Foils Alleged Russian Assassination Plots Against High-Ranking Officials

Kyiv announced the arrest of ten suspects in Ukraine and Moldova, accused of plotting the assassination of high-ranking Ukrainian officials. Ukrainian authorities allege that Russia had promised up to $100,000 for each successful assassination, with the amount depending on the target's prominence. Among the alleged targets is Andriy Yusov, an official involved in prisoner exchanges. Ukraine has previously accused Russia of similar actions, while Russia, in turn, accuses Ukraine of assassinating Russian officials. The investigations were conducted by a joint task force of Ukraine and Moldova, with seizures of weapons, explosives, and money. Moldova confirmed the existence of plans to eliminate public figures in Ukraine. Russia has not yet commented on the allegations.
