European Parliament to Freeze Ratification of EU-US Trade Deal

The European Parliament is expected to freeze the ratification process of the trade agreement between the EU and the US today, following the US Supreme Court's decision deeming Donald Trump's tariffs illegal. The President of the European Parliament's International Trade Committee, Bernd Lange, will propose suspending the process, which is expected to be supported by the main groups in Parliament. The EU is seeking more details from the Trump administration regarding its new tariff program.
