76.5% of Young People in Cyprus Used AI Tools in 2025, Says Eurostat

According to data released today by Eurostat, 76.5% of young people aged 16-24 in Cyprus used generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in 2025. This percentage is significantly higher than the EU average, where 63.8% of young people used AI. Eurostat reports that young people are integrating AI into many areas of their daily lives, mainly for private (44.2%) and educational (39.3%) purposes, compared to just 9.4% of the general population. Professional use remains limited (15.8%). At the EU level, the highest rates were recorded in Greece (83.5%), Estonia (82.8%) and the Czech Republic (78.5%), while the lowest were in Romania (44.1%), Italy (47.2%) and Poland (49.3%). These figures highlight the growing adoption of AI by young people across Europe.
