70% of Internet Users Take Steps to Protect Personal Data

According to a recent survey, 70% of internet users are taking measures to protect their personal data. The majority of users in the EU (58.8%) opt out of having their data used for advertising, while 56.2% restrict access to their geographical location. An increase in data protection has been observed over the past two years, with more users limiting access to social media profiles and checking website security. Finland, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic have the highest rates of data protection, while Romania, Slovenia, and Bulgaria have the lowest.
