Report on Missing Explosives to be Delivered to Defence Minister on Friday

The report of the internal investigation by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) regarding the disappearance of 13.6 kilograms of explosives from a firing range is ready and will be delivered to Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas on Friday. The Minister reiterated that the MoD bears responsibility for the disappearance of the explosives and stated that the report was delivered by the investigating officer to a senior officer due to the Minister's retirement. Mr. Palmas stated that disciplinary penalties are the responsibility of the Chief of the National Guard, while the Police are investigating criminal liabilities. The report will be handed over to the Police after the Minister has studied it.
