Alexandros Tofalidis, the first Cypriot fencer to qualify and compete in the Olympic Games, organized a successful fencing seminar in Limassol. The seminar, held at the Federal Fencing Facilities, aimed to provide athletes and their parents with knowledge and techniques for proper preparation for both training and competitions. Mr. Tofalidis focused on the psychological, physical, and technical preparation of athletes, emphasizing emotional management and injury prevention. He guided participants through physical fitness exercises and specialized fencing leg exercises. During the seminar, athletes had the opportunity to train with Mr. Tofalidis on fencing pistes, while also receiving advice on psychological preparation, self-confidence, and dealing with pressure during competitions. Mr. Tofalidis emphasized that the overall goal of the seminar was to help athletes, coaches, and parents better understand the importance of good preparation at a high level and to give them ideas and routines for daily training and competitions.
