60-Day Ultimatum to Hamas: 'Otherwise We Return to War,' Says Netanyahu Ally

Hamas has been given a 60-day ultimatum to fully disarm, or Israel will resume military operations in the Gaza Strip, according to Yossi Fuchs, the secretary of the cabinet and close associate of Benjamin Netanyahu. Fuchs stated that this deadline originated from a request by the Trump administration and that Israel respects it. According to Fuchs, Hamas must surrender all its weapons, including AK-47s, within 60 days. The start date of the ultimatum has not yet been determined, but it is estimated to be linked to the Peace Council Conference. If Hamas fails to comply, the Israeli armed forces will complete their mission. Fuchs estimated that before potential Israeli elections, Hamas will either have disarmed or the Israeli army will be in full military action in Gaza. He also emphasized the need to destroy the underground tunnels used by Hamas. The situation in the Gaza Strip is described as devastating, with few buildings remaining standing, while the work to neutralize Hamas is not yet complete.
