Four Arrested After Raid on Paphos Restaurant

Four suspects have been arrested and remanded in custody for four days following a raid on a restaurant in Paphos, based on information about activities of organized criminal groups. The arrests were made on charges of illegal possession of property and an offensive weapon (knuckle duster). The suspects, an unemployed man receiving benefits, a tourist, an unemployed man with health problems, and a man whose statement is expected with the help of an interpreter, gave conflicting statements about the origin of the money and the knuckle duster found in their possession. Police investigations are ongoing, with 25 additional testimonies scheduled, including checks on the information provided by the suspects regarding their benefits and the hotel where the tourist claims to be staying.
