Meeting at KSED to Strengthen Coordination in Search and Rescue Operations

A meeting was held at the National Coordination Committee for Search and Rescue (KSED) in Larnaca, with the participation of relevant Ministers and Deputy Ministers, as well as representatives of various state agencies. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen coordination and operational readiness in search and rescue matters. During the meeting, key operational issues were discussed concerning the management of wildfires, the management of irregular migration, the monitoring of maritime and air areas, as well as incidents of marine pollution. Particular emphasis was placed on the need for unified coordination of all involved services. Participants stressed the importance of utilizing available resources and ensuring a prompt and effective response to complex incidents. The safety and protection of human life were recognized as an absolute priority. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of relevant stakeholders to continuously strengthen cooperation and readiness, so that the Search and Rescue system can effectively respond to any challenge.
