Dust Levels High in Cyprus: Paphos Records Highest Concentration

High dust concentrations are being observed in the atmosphere across Cyprus, with Limassol, Paphos, and Agia Marina Xyliatou recording the highest levels. The Department of Labour Inspection warns the public, especially vulnerable groups (children, the elderly, and patients), to avoid outdoor activities until the phenomenon subsides. Employers are also urged to take appropriate protective measures for employees working in outdoor spaces, such as using suitable personal protective equipment. The latest measurements showed 44.4 μg/m3 in Nicosia, 132.6 μg/m3 in Limassol, 79.3 μg/m3 in Larnaca, 82.8 μg/m3 in Paralimni, 180.2 μg/m3 in Paphos, 126.3 μg/m3 in Zygi, and 178.6 μg/m3 in Agia Marina Xyliatou.
