Animal Vaccinations Continue for Foot-and-Mouth Disease, No New Cases Today
Animal vaccinations for foot-and-mouth disease continue, with 98% of cattle and 76% of sheep and goats having received the first dose. For the second dose, the rate is 37.6% for cattle and 10.6% for sheep and goats. So far, no new cases have been reported. Authorities have proceeded with the culling of all animals in units found positive in Livadia, as a measure to limit the spread of the disease.
