The Cyprus Police conducted targeted preventative policing operations across the island, resulting in the arrest of twelve individuals for various offenses. The arrests involved theft, possession of drugs, possession of offensive weapons, domestic violence, and illegal stay on the territory of the Republic. During the operations, 953 vehicles and 1,276 individuals were checked, and 24 checks were carried out at premises. A total of 650 reports were made for various traffic violations, including 141 for speeding. Two drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and one for driving under the influence of alcohol. In addition, 20 vehicles were impounded. The policing operations continue daily with increased presence, targeted checks, and immediate action, with the aim of protecting citizens and ensuring public order.
