Gun and Explosives Found in Limassol: Police Investigation Underway

In the province of Limassol, police officers discovered and seized a pistol without a magazine and five pieces of explosives weighing a total of 670 grams for examination. The discovery was made during a patrol and following information, in an open area in the vicinity of a village. A bomb disposal expert and members of the Limassol TAE went to the scene for investigation. The pistol and explosives were taken for specialized examination by the Police. The Limassol TAE has taken over the investigation of the case, in order to determine the circumstances under which the weapons and explosives were found, as well as the possible involvement of specific individuals. The Police are conducting investigations to identify the owners of the weapons and to clarify whether they are related to any criminal activity. This discovery has caused concern among local authorities, as it indicates the existence of illegal weapons in the area.
