Family and Friends Bid Farewell to Giorgos Marinos

The funeral of Giorgos Marinos was held in a close family circle, as he wished. Relatives, friends, and representatives of the artistic world said their final goodbye to the pioneering Greek showman at the Church of Saint Andrew in Voula. Present at the ceremony were Vasilis Charalambopoulos, Dimitris Papazoglou, Thodoris Ferris with his mother, Daisy Sempokopoulou, Pantelis Kanarakis, Ilias Psynakis, and Kostas Martakis, among others. Katiana Balanika sent a wreath. Giorgos Marinos, who passed away on Wednesday, had been living in a nursing home in Glyfada in recent years. He was diagnosed with dementia in 2021, according to reports. Choreographer Dimitris Papazoglou, in a statement, said that Giorgos Marinos was unique and will forever be in everyone's memory, while expressing his gratitude for his contribution to the art.
