Greece, Israel, and Cyprus Deepen Military Cooperation Amid Turkish Scrutiny

Greece, Israel, and Cyprus have agreed to intensify their military cooperation, including joint air and naval exercises, to address common threats. The agreement, signed in Cyprus, also involves the transfer of expertise from Israel to Greece and Cyprus. Greece plans to participate in Israel's Noble Dina naval exercise in the coming months. This strengthening of cooperation follows a meeting between the Prime Ministers of Greece and Israel and the President of Cyprus, where maritime security and energy interconnection were discussed. Turkey is closely monitoring developments, as it is considered a regional rival. Furthermore, Greece is in advanced talks to purchase anti-aircraft and anti-ballistic missile systems from Israel as part of the 'Achilles Shield' program.
