Published February 14, 2026, 09:30

Dam levels across Cyprus are at a critically low 14.1% as of February 13th, compared to 26.0% during the same period last year. The total water volume stored in the dams is 41,080 million cubic meters (MCM), significantly lower than the 75,613 MCM recorded last year. Inflow since October 1st, 2023, amounts to 19,223 MCM. The largest dam, Kouris, is only 12.6% full, while Asprokremmos stands at 12.9%. The Evretou dam has a fullness of 18.5%, and the Kannaviou dam is at 16.6%. The Kalavasos dam is the emptiest, with a fullness of only 7.9%. This situation raises concerns about water sufficiency during the summer months and requires immediate water resource management. These figures were released by the Water Development Department (WDD) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, highlighting the critical situation and the need for water conservation measures.
