WEF Begins in Davos Under Shadow of Trump and Protests

The World Economic Forum (WEF) begins today in Davos, Switzerland, with the attendance of prominent political and business leaders, including Ursula von der Leyen, Emmanuel Macron, and He Lifeng. However, the upcoming arrival of Donald Trump and the issue of Greenland cast a heavy shadow over the forum. Simultaneously, protests are taking place in Zurich, with approximately 2,000 demonstrators expressing their opposition to Trump's presence and the WEF's policies in general. The protesters accuse the forum of serving the interests of oligarchs and authoritarian leaders. This year's WEF theme is “A Spirit of Dialogue” and will focus on the global economy, trade, and artificial intelligence.
