Attack on Commercial Vessels in Strait of Hormuz: Greek-Owned Ship Involved

Three commercial vessels were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, one of which is Greek-owned, the cargo ship “Star Gwyneth” of Star Bulk. The ship did not sustain serious damage and its crew is safe, with no Greek nationals on board. The company confirmed the ship was hit by an unknown projectile and has moved to another location. Simultaneously, the Thai bulk carrier “Mayuree Naree” was also attacked and is under control, while the Japanese containership “One Majesty” sustained partial damage. The situation in the area remains unstable, with shipowners increasing security measures and monitoring vessels via AIS, where the use of false data by some ships was observed.
