The Statistical Service has published its bi-monthly bulletin “Monthly Economic Developments” for the period January-December 2025, which records positive trends in various economic indicators. An increase was observed in manufacturing production, the area of building permits, motor vehicle registrations, the Consumer Price Index, imports and exports of goods, as well as tourist arrivals. Specifically, manufacturing production increased by 4.4% compared to the previous year, while the area of approved building permits increased by 30.7%. Motor vehicle registrations increased by 5.8%, with private cars recording an increase of 3.2% and light trucks 6.9%. The Consumer Price Index increased by 0.1%, while imports of goods amounted to €13,551.8 million and exports to €5,550.4 million, increasing by 7.7% and 7.0% respectively. Tourist arrivals amounted to 4,534,073, an increase of 12.2% compared to 2024. These figures indicate a general positive course of the Cypriot economy during 2025, with increasing productivity, investment and tourism. The bulletin includes comparative figures for the last four years, providing a comprehensive picture of the economic situation.
