Severe Blow to Qatar: 17% of LNG Production Capacity Offline After Iran Attacks – Up to 5 Years for Restoration

Iran's attacks on Qatar have caused serious damage to liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facilities, corresponding to approximately 17% of Qatar's export capacity. Qatar Energy CEO Saad al-Kaabi estimates that the restoration time will be three to five years. The attacks caused oil prices to rise in Asian markets. Donald Trump threatened military action against Iran if the attacks on Qatar do not stop. Additionally, it was reported that Israel carried out an attack on an Iranian LNG production facility.
