Nearly 50% of February Rainfall Recorded in Three Days in Cyprus

According to preliminary data from the Meteorological Department, almost 50% of the rainfall that fell in Cyprus in February was recorded during the three-day period of February 13-15. The average rainfall during the three days amounted to 23.4 millimeters, increasing the total rainfall since the beginning of the month to 49.7 millimeters, which corresponds to 61% of the normal rainfall for February. The areas with the highest rainfall amounts were Platanias (67.8 mm), Prodromos (63.2 mm), and Saitas (48.0 mm). Overall, Prodromos recorded the highest amount of rainfall since the beginning of the month with 156.8 millimeters, which corresponds to 108% of the normal rainfall for February.
