Yellow Warning in Effect: New Wave of Bad Weather Expected to Hit Cyprus

The Meteorological Service has issued a Yellow Warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds, which will be in effect until 6 a.m. on Saturday, February 14th. The Director of the Meteorological Service, Philippos Tymvios, stated that the weather is expected to improve from tomorrow, with good weather conditions expected for the next 2-3 days. Regarding dust, its concentration remains at acceptable levels and is expected to improve further as it gradually clears from the atmosphere tonight. Winds remain around 5-6 Beaufort in some areas, with the possibility of stronger gusts. However, Mr. Tymvios warned of a new wave of bad weather next Wednesday, after a period of improved weather. The warning concerns potential heavy rainfall and strong winds.
