Two to Stand Trial for Torture in Larnaca – Six Victims

Two defendants, aged 48 and 27, have been referred to direct trial before the Larnaca Permanent Criminal Court for the torture case in Pyla. They face a total of 16 charges, including conspiracy to commit a felony, kidnapping, bodily harm, and weapons offenses. The 48-year-old faces additional charges of inciting document execution and refusing to provide measurements. The offenses were committed in the summer of 2025, and there are six victims, including Cypriots, an Indian national, an Arab national, and a European citizen who is being identified. Police investigations are ongoing.
