Winter Air Traffic on the Rise: 12 New Destinations from Paphos and Larnaca

Published February 18, 2026, 12:24

Air traffic at Larnaca and Paphos airports is up 16% this winter (November-January) compared to the previous year. This increase is attributed to the efforts of the tourism industry to secure year-round connectivity. This year, 30 airlines operate flights from Larnaca Airport to 54 destinations in 33 countries, with 4 new markets (Spain, Belgium, Slovakia, North Macedonia) and 10 new destinations. From Paphos Airport, 8 airlines operate flights to 35 destinations in 17 countries, with the resumption of the Paphos-Amman route and the addition of two new destinations (Dusseldorf, Haifa). Despite the potential impact of geopolitical developments in the Middle East, there is currently no negative impact on air traffic to Cyprus.
