Cyprus Shipping Ministry Advises Ships to Avoid High-Risk Ports

The Deputy Ministry of Shipping has reiterated its recommendation to owners and managers of ships under the Cypriot flag to avoid approaching ports and countries where there is political instability or armed conflict. Increased vigilance, close communication with port authorities, and the implementation of stricter security measures on ships are recommended. Specifically, it is recommended to implement ISPS level 3 security measures and to reassess passage through the Strait of Hormuz, as well as to remain in safe ports until conditions stabilize.
