€890,000 from Businesses and Public to be Allocated to Fire-Affected Communities

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, announced that the €890,000 raised from businesses and the public following the devastating fires of July 2025 in the Limassol district will be allocated to the affected communities for projects they choose. The total support plan amounts to approximately €60 million and includes various measures, such as covering emergency needs, strengthening the operational capacity of communities, covering basic family needs, compensating for property damage, and supporting the primary sector. The President expressed his sorrow for the loss of two lives in the fires and thanked volunteers, businesses, and the state mechanism for their immediate response and solidarity.
