President: "We will do everything possible to regenerate livestock farming"

President Nikos Christodoulides stated that the government has a comprehensive plan to restore livestock farming, which has been affected by recent fires and other difficulties. During a visit to Pakhna, where he met with community leaders, he addressed the reactions of livestock farmers regarding the culling of animals and assured that the government will cover the loss of profits and help replenish animal losses, even considering the possibility of importing animals from abroad. He also emphasized the need to use the crisis as an opportunity to upgrade livestock farming, focusing on better spatial planning of livestock units and addressing problems related to the ceasefire line and British Bases. The government has allocated 60 million euros to address the challenges and is committed to doing everything possible to regenerate the sector. President Christodoulides highlighted the government's responsible fiscal policy, which allows it to address such crises.
