President Christodoulides Seeks Meeting with Guterres in March, Discusses Cyprus with Erhurman

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, announced that he has requested a written meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, within March. He also plans to convene the National Council to inform and exchange views on the current situation. President Christodoulides held a meeting with Turkish Cypriot leader, Erhurman, where they discussed progress on Confidence-Building Measures and agreed to provide further guidance to the negotiators. The discussion focused on substantive issues of the Cyprus problem and a new meeting was agreed upon soon. The meeting took place in a very good atmosphere.
