Cyprus Communities to Hire Qualified Staff by End of June

The Union of Communities in Cyprus expects to complete the recruitment of all necessary personnel by the end of June, aiming to strengthen Communities not integrated into Municipalities and support projects and services for citizens. The recruitment process involves over 200 positions, including secretaries, engineers, accountants, health inspectors, and support staff, within Service Complexes created across Cyprus. In Larnaca, four Complexes have been established, while Pyla maintains its autonomy. According to the President of the Union, upgrading the services of the Communities will lead to improved citizen service and higher expectations from Community Councils. Simultaneously, projects are being promoted in various Communities, aiming to secure funding from the Provincial Administration and European programs. The Local Government reform is expected to accelerate procedures and improve the responsiveness of local authorities to the needs of residents.
