Danish Prime Minister: 'The Worst May Be Yet to Come' Regarding Greenland

The Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, stated that “the worst may be yet to come” amid escalating threats from US President Donald Trump regarding a potential acquisition of Greenland. Frederiksen emphasized that Denmark will not negotiate its sovereignty, identity, borders, or democracy. She also warned that Europe must react if Trump imposes trade tariffs on European countries in response to their opposition to his plan. However, she reiterated Denmark's desire for continued cooperation and a close alliance with the United States, stressing that her country does not seek conflict.
