SAK to Proceed with Legal Measures to Suspend Police Chief's Directives

The Cyprus Police Association (SAK) announced that it will proceed with legal measures to suspend directives issued by the Police Chief. The President of SAK, Angelos Nikolaou, expressed satisfaction with the swift arrangement of a meeting with the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Kostas Fytiris, where the Association's concerns were discussed. During the meeting, SAK presented its views on the Police Chief's directives, while the Minister presented his own concerns. Both sides agreed that the Police follow the instructions of the Chief, however SAK will continue to seek the suspension of the specific directives through legal measures. Mr. Nikolaou called on his colleagues to remain patient, assuring them that the Association will support them and fight to the end for the satisfaction of their requests and the administration of justice.
