ExxonMobil Advances Commerciality Declaration for Block 10, Production Estimated by 2035

ExxonMobil is proceeding with a declaration of commerciality for Block 10 in the Cypriot EEZ, with production of natural gas estimated between 2030-2035. This was announced following a meeting between the company's Vice President, John Ardill, and the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides. President Christodoulides described ExxonMobil's activity as very important for Cyprus and a vote of confidence. The company highlighted the success of its operations, particularly the 'Glafkos' and 'Pegasus' discoveries, with estimated reserves of 6-9 trillion cubic feet. The goal is the rapid commercialization and production of natural gas. The government has expressed its willingness to discuss further blocks. ExxonMobil presented a plan to advance the deposits through the Declaration of Commerciality, which is expected to be completed around April.
