Green Light for EU-Switzerland Package of Agreements

The EU's Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) has approved an extensive package of agreements between the EU and Switzerland, paving the way for their signature and conclusion. The package aims to consolidate, deepen, and further broaden bilateral relations, strengthening cooperation in various areas. The completion of the dossier was the result of intensive consultations by the EU Council. The package includes significant benefits for citizens and businesses, enhancing legal certainty and expanding cooperation in areas such as energy, health, and food safety. Additionally, it enhances opportunities for researchers and students through EU programs. The Cypriot Presidency considers the package important for a stronger and more autonomous EU.
