Kurdish March in Cyprus for Release of Ocalan

A group of Kurds residing in Cyprus marched to the Greek Embassy in Nicosia on Sunday, protesting the arrest of the leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Abdullah Ocalan, 27 years ago. The march was organized by the Kurdistan Cultural Center “Theophilos” and demanded Ocalan's release and the recognition of Rojava. The march began from the roundabout near the 'Carlsberg' factory and headed towards the Ministry of Interior before culminating at the Greek Embassy, where protesters laid a black wreath. Police confirmed that the march took place peacefully. The demonstrators expressed their solidarity with Abdullah Ocalan and reiterated their demand for his release, emphasizing the importance of self-determination and the political rights of the Kurdish people.
