Poland Bans Chinese Vehicles from Military Installations

Published February 18, 2026, 09:24

Poland has banned vehicles manufactured in China from entering military installations due to concerns that the sensors in these vehicles could be used to collect sensitive data. The decision is a precautionary measure, aligned with practices used by NATO members and allies to protect defense infrastructure. However, these vehicles will be allowed to enter secure facilities if specific functions are disabled or other security requirements are met. The restrictions will not apply to military installations open to the public, such as hospitals or libraries. Furthermore, the connection of company phones to entertainment systems in vehicles made in China has been prohibited to further reduce the risk of information leakage. The Polish government stated that these measures are precautionary and related to protecting defense infrastructure. The decision highlights the growing concern about potential espionage and cyberattacks through technological devices, especially at military installations. Poland appears to be seeking to protect sensitive data and ensure the security of its military facilities.
