14-Year Prison Sentence for Man Convicted of Double Rape in Cyprus

A 29-year-old Bulgarian man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison by the Paphos Criminal Court for the double rape and indecent assault of two women. The defendant secretly entered their apartment and, despite the women's objections, proceeded with the atrocious acts. The women managed to record part of the incident and reported the assault to the police. The defendant's genetic material matched that found in the apartment. The 29-year-old admitted to being a drug user since the age of 14, which was considered a mitigating factor in court. He was also convicted of burglary and theft.
