Cyprus Car Market Trends: Preferences for Brand, Fuel Type, and Color Revealed

According to data from the Statistical Service, over 40,000 saloon vehicles were registered in Cyprus in 2025, an increase compared to 2024. This increase is mainly due to the import of used vehicles from third countries, which account for 64% of total registrations. New vehicle registrations decreased slightly, reaching 14,500. Regarding Cypriot preferences, Asian vehicles hold the first position with a 44.1% share, followed by German (13%), French (7%), British (6%), and Korean (3.9%) vehicles. There is also a shift towards hybrid vehicles, with 44.3% of new registrations being hybrid, compared to 37.1% in 2024. The prices of new vehicles have decreased, while the price difference between hybrid and gasoline vehicles is smaller. White is the most popular car color in Cyprus (34.4%), followed by gray (19.5%), black (15.6%), blue (8.8%), and silver (8.7%).
