NATO Secretary-General Downplays Trump's Greenland Comments

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte stated that the issue of Greenland's sovereignty and its status as an autonomous territory of Denmark was not discussed during his talks with US President Donald Trump in Davos. The conversation focused on protecting the Arctic region and the increasing activity of China and Russia there. Rutte reassured Trump that European allies would stand with the United States in the event of an attack, responding to the President's previous expressions of doubt. Trump, for his part, mentioned that he had outlined 'the framework of a future agreement' regarding Greenland with Rutte.
