A weak low-pressure system is affecting Cyprus, with a strengthening expected tonight. The weather will be intermittently cloudy with localized showers and isolated thunderstorms, initially in the mountains, west, and north, and later in more areas. Snow is expected in the higher mountains, with temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius inland, 17 on the coast, and 7 in the mountains. Winds will be southwesterly, light to moderate, and the sea will be slightly rough. Tonight, the weather will remain mostly cloudy with localized showers and thunderstorms, and continued snow in the mountains. Temperatures will drop to 7 degrees Celsius inland, 9 on the coast, and 3 in the mountains, with a possibility of frost. Winds will remain southwesterly, moderate to strong. On Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy with isolated showers or thunderstorms and snow in the mountains. A slight drop in temperature is expected. Thursday and Friday will see partly cloudy weather with isolated showers and a chance of snow in the mountains. Temperatures will gradually rise, exceeding average climatic values by Friday. The snow height at Troodos is already 17 centimeters.
