–Υπέστη ζημιές το όχημα της Πυροσβεστικής – Διερευνά η Αστυνομία
Περιστατικό που προκαλεί αποτροπιασμό σημειώθηκε χθες το απόγευμα στη Λεμεσό.
Όπως αναφέρει η Πυροσβεστική, η ώρα 17:55, λήφθηκε κλήση για πυρκαγιά σε σωρό από ξύλα και άχρηστα υλικά στα Πολεμίδια, της επαρχίας Λεμεσού.
Ανταποκρίθηκε ο Πυροσβεστικός Σταθμού Μονοβόλικου και η πυρκαγιά τέθηκε υπό έλεγχο στις 18:18. Κατά τη διάρκεια της κατάσβεσης, τα μέλη και το όχημα της Πυροσβεστικής Υπηρεσίας δέχτηκαν πετροβολισμό από άγνωστα πρόσωπα.
Στο μέρος κλήθηκε και αφίχθηκε η Αστυνομία, όπου με την άφιξή της, τα άγνωστα πρόσωπα τράπηκαν σε φυγή.
Το πυροσβεστικό όχημα υπέστη ζημιές, ενώ κανένας τραυματισμός δεν σημειώθηκε στα μέλη της Πυροσβεστικής Υπηρεσίας.

Firefighters Pelted with Stones While Battling Blaze in Limassol
Yesterday afternoon, firefighters responding to a call about a fire in a pile of wood and waste materials in Polemidia, Limassol, were pelted with stones by unknown individuals. During the firefighting operation, unknown persons attacked the fire engine, causing damage to it. Fortunately, no firefighters were injured. The Police were called to the scene and are conducting investigations to identify and arrest the perpetrators. The incident has drawn strong condemnation and concern for the safety of Fire Service personnel while performing their duties. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident and seeking witnesses to assist in the investigation.
