Cyprus Presidency Outlines Priorities in Athens

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Greece, Stavros Augustidis, presented the priorities of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Cypriot Presidency is committed to working towards a strong, resilient, human-centered, and open Europe, based on cooperation, unity, and international law. The five key pillars of the presidency are security, competitiveness, autonomy, a union of values, and a long-term budget. The visual identity of the presidency is inspired by the traditional Lefkara embroideries, a symbol of unity and resilience, particularly significant for Cyprus as a divided country.
