Anti-Corruption Authority Acknowledges Delay in 'State Mafia' Investigation

The Independent Authority Against Corruption has announced a delay in completing the report on the investigation related to the book 'State Mafia'. The delay is attributed to health issues of two of the four inspection officers involved in the investigation, as well as the appointment of one of them to the Public Service, which has been postponed until April 30, 2026. The Authority highlights the large volume of evidence and the scope of the report, which require additional time for study and analysis. Despite the proximity of the process to the Parliamentary Elections of May 24, 2026, the Authority assures that it will carry out its work independently of political schedules. Drafts covering most of the report have already been submitted. The Authority expresses confidence in the inspection officers for their work and asks for understanding and patience from the public. It commits to transparency and accountability throughout the process. The Authority's announcement is provided in full for complete public information.
