Children and Artists in Creative Dialogue at the Cyprus Museum

The Cyprus Museum is presenting a new educational program that combines art and archaeology, aimed at children aged 6-12. The program includes five interactive Artist Talks, where children will have the opportunity to meet and interact with contemporary artists and their work, in relation to the archaeological exhibits of the museum. The program draws inspiration from archaeological exhibits depicting animals and explores the theme of “Animals” through contemporary art. The aim is to enhance art and museum education, promote interdisciplinary approaches, and cultivate awareness of the social role of the arts. The activities are based on viewing, dialogue, and art creation, enhancing children’s knowledge, skills, and creativity. Emphasis is placed on the relationships between people, animals, and the environment, biodiversity, mythology, and the role of technology in contemporary creation. The program will take place on specific dates in March, April, May, June, and July 2026, with a limited number of participants (10 children per session) and reservations required.
