Agricultural organizations and grain producers have decided to grant a time extension until the end of February to the relevant services, following a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture. This decision comes as a result of the goodwill shown and the acceptance of proposals submitted by the organizations. The meeting discussed the specificities of Cyprus, such as the existence of occupied territories, land fragmentation, and Turkish Cypriot and Chalik land, emphasizing that such conditions do not exist in other European countries. The Minister of Agriculture submitted a mediating proposal that was accepted by all attendees. The Secretary-General of PEK, Christos Papapetrou, stated that the issue of Cyprus is not related to the OPEKEPE scandal, as it concerns cultivated agricultural land.
