Ursula von der Leyen: Europe Prefers Dialogue but is Ready for Action

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that Europe prefers dialogue and solutions, but is fully prepared to act decisively if necessary, especially in relation to the situation in Greenland. She emphasized that Greenland is the homeland of a free people with the right to territorial integrity and that its future must be decided by the Greenlanders themselves. Ms. von der Leyen also referred to the need for security in the Arctic and cooperation with NATO, while warning of the risk of deteriorating relations between allies.
