Ukraine: Donbas Issue Dominates Trilateral Talks with Russia and US

Ukraine, Russia, and the United States are holding trilateral talks in the United Arab Emirates, with the issue of Donbas at the forefront. This is the first joint meeting of the three countries since the start of the war in Ukraine almost four years ago. Russia emphasizes that a long-term peace agreement cannot be reached without resolving territorial disputes, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expresses hope that the talks will lead to an end to the war. The Russian delegation is led by the head of military intelligence, Admiral Igor Kostyukov, while the US is represented by Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, along with White House advisor Josh Grunbaum.
