Plenary Session: Partial Acceptance of Presidential Referral of Tourism Accommodation Law – Which Provisions are Deleted

The Plenary Session of the Parliament partially accepted the President's referral of the law regarding tourist accommodations. Two significant provisions were deleted: the obligation of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism to receive and assist in completing incomplete applications, and the requirement for a certificate of compliance with collective labor agreements for the issuance of an operating license. The decision was made with 30 votes in favor and 15 against. The referral concerned the creation of a new special operating license and not the extension of compliance deadlines. MPs from AKEL expressed reservations, pointing out that the last extension for compliance with the provisions of the law has already expired.
